Life Drawing in Artspace

A course for all life drawing enthusiasts. Get into life drawing in the New Year!

Dates and Times

- Mondays, 6.30 - 9 pm 18 January - 22 February

Costs

- Fee to be paid upfront on the first session: £ 60, models and materials included.

Course

- This is a course for everybody who is interested in drawing from a life model, beginners and intermediates alike. Experiments with materials and practising skills and techniques are the main ingredients. Each session starts with a one hour exercise, mostly making use of short poses. In the next hour you will have the opportunity to concentrate on one pose. You are encouraged to experiment with all kinds of media, eg. charcoal, paint, ink, collage. Individual guidance is given during the session.

Frieda runs workshops with and for all abilities & ages. Make a wall hanging for your school with recycled materials! Or create mythical beasts from plastic bottles and scrap paper. Some other possibilities include drawing, painting (on any surface) and sculpting (with any material), even knitting and crotcheting. This kitten was made out of ceramics, plaster and textile, by a five-year-old during a project in Bell Green. The project was run in co-operation with Artspace Artists (see biography).

1-2-1 Tuition

Book individual sessions on various subjects, including painting (acrylics, oil, watercolour), drawing and sculpting with ceramics and/or other materials. The sessions will take place in the artist studio at Artspace. Home tuition is an option too. Price depending on subject from £25 an hour. Contact the artist through friedapoll@yahoo.com
