Frieda can run workshops with and for all abilities & ages on a wide range of subjects: try modelling in clay - results can be fired and glazed.
Some other possibilities include drawing, painting (on any surface) and sculpting (with any material) or even knitting and crotcheting.
This kitten was made out of plaster and textile, by a five-year-old during a project in Bell Green. The project was run in co-operation with Arts Exchange (see biography).
Life Drawing Practice

This is a course for everybody who is interested in drawing from a life model, beginners and intermediates alike. We will work with male and female models to explore body forms and structure; varied poses both clothed and unclothed; expression and character. Each session starts with a one hour exercise that has to do with the afore mentioned, mostly making use of short poses. In the next hour you will have the opportunity to concentrate on one pose. You are encouraged to experiment with all kinds of media, eg. charcoal, paint, ink, collage. I will give individual guidance during the session. To finish the evening we will discuss results as a group.
The course is not accredited. However, if you would want to receive an appraisal, that is possible. I can also help you assembling a portfolio for entry exams.
- Six evenings 6.30 - 9pm (2.5 hours x 6 weeks)
- Venue: Artspace Coventry, 16 Lower Holy Head Road, community room
- £ 60, including models for all 6 sessions, drinks and most materials (paper for sale on non profit base)

1-2-1 Tuition
Book individual sessions on various subjects, including painting (acrylics, oil, watercolour), drawing and sculpting with ceramics and/or other materials.
